Welcome to the Ada World projects. Here you'll find all the different projects that are either hosted here or elsewhere on the web and talked about, documented and updated here. For the sake of organization, the projects have been grouped into the 5 categories listed below. Just click on the folder you'd like to have a look at to see what's available to you right now. Note that each of these 5 categories will also be broken down into sub categories where necessary to group them down even further.

These types of projects offer a full set of functionaly related features that pertain to a specific type of development. These can be command line tools, applications offering a T.U.I. or G.U.I. access to its specific functions. Anything that can be considered a full program can go in this category. If you have a project that fits this category and want to add it to our list, tell me about it, and we'll get it going.

Ada bindings fill many categories. Namely they could be bindings to the Windows API, bindings to one or more specific database engine or bindings to a specific part of a given engine (like Direct-X, Open GL). What describes a binding is essentially a set of inter-related objects/functions that allow an easier access to a more hardcore low level functionality of a given Operating System. Like all categories if you have a project that can be considered as a binding, let me know and we'll see what we can do to make it part of our list. Again there's no need to actually host the project here, but if you want to it can be arranged.

This category speaks for itself. Indeed any project relating to Internet developed in Ada will be going here. If you know of a project that relates to any internet related subject let me know and it will be added here. Internet related projects also include IRC chat, all HTTP, FTP, IRC standards, HTML Generators, XML/XSLT parsers and everything else that pertains to online contents and services.

Libraries are best described as a reusable set of functions or objects that act on a particular development subject. For instance a string manipulation library, a set of objects or functions to calculate dates, could all be categorized as a library. If your project is of this category. This would be the place to add it to. If your not quite sure where a project of yours fits, then let me know what the project does and we'll see where it best fits in.

In this category, everything that doesn't fit in the previous three will go here. For instance, shorter types of project that aren't mean to be used alone per say, utilities to help ada developers, extensions to the language itself made to be used in any category of development projects. If this is the type of project you have, and it is written in the Ada programming language, then this is where it goes.
